Day 224 – Bain Beef and Cucumbers at Farmers Market

This morning we visited the Village Point farmers market.  I was surprised to see TC Bain from Bain Beef there.  His family and mine were actually neighbors many years ago growing up.  We bought a couple of his steaks and we’re looking forward to grilling them. 🙂

Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the farmer who grew these delicious looking cucumbers.

cucumber envy…ours look terrible this year. 🙁

Emma has two Armenian cucumber plants that look fairly healthy and are blooming right now, but that’s it.

I don’t think I’ve ever had Armenian cucumber. I just read it is actually a type of muskmelon. Interesting. As for our little garden the pumpkins have died. We missed the radishes while on vacation but it looks like we’ll have lots of roma tomatoes. 🙂
